What can you expect if a shielded cabling solution lacks an adequate ground system?
Shielded structured cabling systems require proper grounding, which must be installed at both ends of the channel. A poorly grounding system is more likely to cause interference and alien crosstalk, since the shielding, just like the cable, can act as an antenna picking up airborne electromagnetic signals (normally referred to as noise). Therefore, such unwanted emissions will not be blocked if the aluminum foil screening is not properly grounded in your installation.
